Letter From The Pastor

In the Christian life we need to continually ask, “What is The Next Step In My Walk With God?”  The Church’s Mission is not to make converts, but to make disciples. The Christian life is not about the starting line, it’s about running the race. Coming to faith in Jesus Christ is only the first step of the Christian life.  God wants all of his children to grow up in their faith.  Therefore God has given all Christians some tools that will help lead them into spiritual growth.  There are at least four major steps every Christian will need to take in order to become mature and have a fruitful life.

STEP ONE: We must learn how to understand the Bible.  We offer a class known as CLASS 101 “Understanding the Bible.” The goal of this class is to encourage you to commit to the habit of spending daily time in God’s Word (the Bible) once you understand HOW to do it.

STEP TWO: We must learn how to pray.  So we offer CLASS 102 “How To Hear the Voice of God.” 

God wants to communicate with us heart to heart, not just head to head.  In this class we teach you two important things about how to pray.

1.  How to become still in your prayer time.

2.  How to hear the voice of God.  (Prayer is a two-way conversation.)

STEP THREE:  CLASS 103 “How to Discover the Purpose of My Life.”

The goal for the class is to help you discover your unique design for ministry and commit to developing and using your God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others through the church family.

STEP FOUR: CLASS 104 “Contagious Christian Class.”

You will learn:

1.  Your Personal Style of Witnessing.

2.  The importance of Building Relationships.

3.  How to Tell Your Story.

4.  How to Communicate God’s Message.

One class is offered every fall and another class in the winter.  Look for sign-ups soon.  You do not need to be a member of the church to participate.
